Privacy

SKRIM is an online game developed by Niko Vanhala. You can play bot games and custom matches without an account. Ranked, friends, and guilds require an account.

What data do we process?

Purpose and retention

Account data, match results, and rankings are kept while the account is in use. You can request deletion of your account and related data at [email protected]. Sign-in sessions expire within 30 days. Verification links expire after 24 hours and password reset links after 30 minutes. Guild chat keeps the latest 100 messages per guild; the latest 80 lounge messages are held in server memory and disappear when the server restarts. Daily backups are kept for about 30 days on a separate disk, so deleted data may remain in them until they expire. Technical logs follow the server log rotation and are used for security and troubleshooting.

Providers and your rights

SKRIM's game server runs on the operator's Linux computer. Cloudflare carries web traffic. Resend sends account verification and password reset emails and receives feedback sent to [email protected]. Email content may also be processed in the United States under the provider's terms.

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your data, and object to applicable processing. You may also complain to the Finnish Data Protection Ombudsman. Contact [email protected].
